Beginning Tues., Oct. 1, over-the-counter COVID-19 at-home tests will no longer be covered by Medicaid.
Toward the end of Sept. 2024, you will be able to order four free COVID-19 at-home tests per household from the US government. For more information, visit COVIDtests.gov.

Join Highmark Health Options on Saturday, June 22, from 11 a.m.–2 p.m., for a free Summer Health Fair at Ezion Fair Baptist Church Community Center, located at 1400 B Street in Wilmington.
Free screenings for blood pressure and stroke risk will be available, while children can get screened for lead. Attend presentations and get information on lots of health topics like cancer, diabetes, maternal health, dental health, Narcan training, and prostate health.
Enjoy free refreshments and meet nurses from your community. There will be a Zumba session as well as activities for kids. And The Food Bank of Delaware will be giving out free food boxes for families.

Then join Highmark Health Options at the third annual Black Birth Expo on Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Doulas will share how they can help you with the birth of your child. Not sure what a doula is? They provide physical, emotional and informational support to mothers before, during, and shortly after childbirth.
This event will be held at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church (in the Great Hall), located at 425 North Dupont Highway in Dover, Delaware. You can expect baby care demos, baby item giveaways, gift card raffles, and doula meet and greets. Brunch will be provided.

Libraries in New Castle County will host children's winter coat giveaways on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m. at the following locations: Bear Library, Elsmere Library, Newark Free Library, and Woodlawn Library.
